Car Shopping 101

Hello and Happy Tuesday!
I hope everyone has had a productive week thus far! A busy work week usually makes for a more deserving weeked, so get it done! I myself will be car shopping all weekend, which may sound fun but has really become a terrible hassle. This is my first time car shopping, my first car was a high school graduation gift and now its time to move on! The tough part is finding a car that fits my needs, mainly being that it is cost efficient. I want to find an SUV preferably as I live in Chicago and need a car that can handle the winters. I also want something that takes minimal upkeep and won’t break the bank at the gas station. For the most part the dealerships have been very friendly and helpful, but there are however a few pushy salesman I’ve encountered thus far. And there is nothing worse than a pushy, won’t take no for an answer, salesperson. I get it, you’re trying to get a sale, but no means no!

Besides the stereotypical salesman to avoid, there are a few pieces of information to take with you for you other first time car shoppers. For example, did you know that finance offers and lease rates can change month to month? It all depends on the manufacturer. For example, a newer model car may not be available for a while and the inventory on last year’s model might be too high or low. Unfortunately there is no way for the consumer to predict what the finance rate of a car is so it’s best to just do your research on your own. Find out what dealerships offer what finance programs and if they can mold them to fit your needs as a consumer. In the meantime, have fun with it! I’ll admit it has been fun test driving so many cars and it really helps me in deciding what I want. I am also enjoying looking up cars online. It’s better to look cars up ahead of time so that you know what cars are where and for what price. Speaking of cars, Clickso has a hot new offer called “What’s Your Dream Car?” The quiz is perfect for people like me who don’t know what they are looking for.
