From Coast to Coast
No Comments Posted by: Kim

I’m back! :) I know, I have been on hiatus and Krissy has been holding down the blog fort for a while. But I have been super busy. I just got back from Daily Deal Summit in San Francisco and before that I was in New York for Affiliate Summit. It’s been a busy couple of months, and so much fun!

New York was amazing! That was the first time I’ve ever been there so I was very excited. We got off to a rough start because our flight was delayed about 3 times. When we finally arrived in NYC, we went out to a fancy dinner with a few clients. I had a $50.00 steak and it was so good! The next day was the first day of the show. We had a table which was really nice. I met a lot of people, got to talk about business, and sell, sell, sell! It was also really great to meet my affiliates who I email all the time and finally put a face to a name. That night, we went to Times Square. Unfortunately it was POURING outside! But it was still fun to see it.

The next day was full of meetings. We had some down time in the afternoon and I made Craig take me to Ground Zero. I couldn’t see much since it was all construction from the new memorial site they were building. But it was still a great experience to actually be there. That night was the boat party for a bunch of networks and affiliates. I was really excited about this, but for some reason I completely forgot that I get really sea sick on boats. As soon as I stepped onto the boat, it was all downhill from there! But other than me getting sick and chugging ginger ale, it was a really nice party! We went up and down the river, passed the Statue of Liberty a few times which was really cool. And the view of NYC at night was absolutely amazing. Overall, I think the New York trip and ASE was a success

Daily Deal Summit in San Francisco was just as great! This time I went as an XVerify rep instead of Clickso. XVerify is our new real time data verification system. So, I was helping to promote this during the show. We had a booth for both days. It was pretty amusing trying to put it together. It took us about an hour just to figure out we were doing it wrong. But after we realized what to do, it was easy! I was able to walk around a little and talk to a lot of interesting companies. At night, we were able to explore! We took cable cars to Fisherman’s Wharf, a big touristy spot in SF, and did some souvenir shopping. The last day we were there, we went to Alcatraz. It was awesome! I love that kind of stuff. It was so interesting to learn about the prison, the escapes, see how the prisoners lived and where Al Capone stayed. I’m really glad we were able to go. San Francisco was another great experience and I hope we get some business out of it! :)

Our next trip won’t be until January for Affiliate Summit West. That one is in Las Vegas, so I know it will be just as fun as the other trips, well maybe better! I’ll know more people at the show who I met in New York, and I’ll be a lot more experienced in the business and know what to expect.

Affiliates, we’ve been adding offers like crazy! Here are a few new ones that I really like.

Bobbing for Apples. It pays out at $1.35 and converts on an email submit. Fun landing page!

eMusic Free Trial (Incent) is a free trial for a popular music service. Conversion occurs after 3rd page CC submit. Pay out is $3.75.

Survey Princess (DOI). Get rewards and live like a princess! It converts on email confirmation and pays out $1.35.

Well, today is my Friday! I’m taking tomorrow off to go visit my sister for the weekend and Krissy is on vacation in California visiting some friends so Craig will be all alone in the office tomorrow :( But, I’m sure he needs a break from us haha ;)

Have a good weekend everyone!

The Leaves Are A-Changin’

How is everyone’s work week going so far? I hope all of you had a wonderful weekend! As most of you know, the first day of Fall was last Friday, September 23rd, 2011. How did all of you spend the first weekend of Autumn? I decided to be extra festive and go to an apple orchard around the area. It was super packed so I think everyone had the same exact thoughts as to how to spend their weekend. I adventured in the pumpkin patch looking for worthy pumpkins to carve and enjoyed an apple cider slushie which was absolutely worth the four dollars I paid for it. Did I out-Fall you guys?

To go along with my Fall-themed blog entry this week, I’m going to inform all of you about our newest holiday offers. I’ve set up several Halloween campaigns so far so hopefully you guys will find one that you’ll want to run. :) Pick up our new Halloween Jackpot offer, and your users can enter for a chance to win today’s daily drawing of $1,000,000! Users must enter their first name and email for the day’s drawing. Conversion occurs on a first page submit, and pays $1.20 per lead.

What is the first thing that comes to mind when you think of Halloween? I think of candy, because I have a sweet tooth all 365 days of the year. Who doesn’t like candy? Pick up the What’s Your Favorite Candy? – Free $100 GC email submit offer for all your users to fill out. All they need to do is choose their favorite candy listed on the landing page and they can receive a FREE $100 gift card with participation. The pay-out for this offer is $1.50 and converts on an email submit. I’d have to say my favorite candy is Milk Duds… Yum!

My second favorite part of Halloween is deciding what my costume is going to be. No joke, Kim and I started brainstorming a few weeks ago! Our CEO is actually having everyone in the office dress up this year, and I can hardly wait. I kind of want to pick up a Sesame Street costume and be Elmo since I’m probably the shortest one in the office. Do any of you have any costume ideas for me? I’m probably not the only one thinking of costumes since October is just a few days away… I’m thinking our new BuyCostumes.com offer will be super popular in the next few weeks. BuyCostumes.com is a great seasonal campaign from the world’s most popular costume store! This offer pays per purchase and allows soft incent traffic.

Our office is going to celebrate the haunting holiday this year by having everyone bring in their “scariest” treat! Do you guys have any ideas for me? I’m not exactly Betty Crocker. I’ll have to upload a photo of all our employees dressed up in their costumes. Not going to lie, I’m probably going to browse BuyCostumes.com on my lunch break. All of you will have to keep me updated on your costumes! ;)

A Weekend in Wisconsin
No Comments Posted by: Krissy

From Friday, August 26th, to Sunday, August 29th, my company and I traveled to Wisconsin Dells for an end-of-the-summer getaway. I could not have been more excited to spend time with my co-workers outside of the office; I’ve been looking forward to this trip ever since we were told about it in April. This was our first ever company trip out of town, and it was definitely a success!

We left for Wisconsin around one and arrived around five in the afternoon after an almost four hour bus ride. Everyone was so excited to finally reach our destination that we nearly ran off the bus! Our company stayed at Rivers Edge Resort which was literally on the river’s edge and less than 10 minutes away from downtown Wisconsin Dells. When I say “literally on the river’s edge”, I mean it took us less than a few minutes to walk over to the river and dip our toes in the water!

The lodging where our company stayed, Rivers Edge Resort.

The Clickso team got their very own cabin which was inhabited by Craig, Kim, Britt (Kim’s sister), and myself. I didn’t bring any loved ones so I was absolutely thrilled to share a room with Kim and Britt. It felt like a sleepover every night! Craig was in the next room over, and although he is Kim and I’s boss, it felt like we were vacationing with our older brother.

On Saturday morning, Kim, Britt, our co-worker, Freddy, and his fiancé and I got up early to head to Mt. Olympus water and theme park in the Dells. Since it’s the end of the summer, I didn’t think it would be that packed, but surprisingly, it was! We spent a majority of the day at the water park soaking up the rays and playing in the wave pool which was actually pretty nuts… Waves were about eight feet high! In the afternoon, we raced each other on go-karts and rode the roller coaster, Hades. Craig decided to stay around the resort and go tubing down the river with a few members of our staff. He said it was so nice floating down the river that he was actually sad to have it end! When he told me this, I was actually pretty jealous since I was exhausted by the time we got back to the resort for dinner.

Craig, me, Kim & Brit hanging out by the fire. (I didn’t want to smell like smoke, which is why my hood’s up!)

Overall, it was trip that I will definitely remember for the rest of my life. Not only because it was so enjoyable, but because it was something that most companies don’t do to begin with and that I was lucky enough to experience. Since our company is quite small, we were able to take a break from work, relax and enjoy time with one another outside of the work place. Our workforce felt like a close-knit group before, but after this weekend, I almost consider my co-workers as my second family. If your company is small enough to venture out of the workplace for a weekend, I highly suggest it! :) Have a great rest of the week everyone!
